Meet The Meadow Team

Welcome to Our Little Corner of the Meadow

If you read our home page introduction and/or our About section, you’ll know that this is a mother/daughter small business… but do you want to know about the others that help make up our little Hooked On Hay family? Some work behind the scenes, some taste-test every new idea, and some simply make sure there’s always a warm spot to sit.

Allow us to introduce the team.

Tash (aka Daughter) “The World Builder”

That’s me! Every cosy corner, every little detail, and every new idea begins here! From dreaming up new products to building an interactive little world via our website (with hidden things) and doing the social media, I’m always imagining what the next chapter of Hooked On Hay could look like.

Favourite activity - Starting three new projects before finishing the first one.

Doris (aka Mum) “The Meadow Steward”

The steady heart of Hooked On Hay. From preparing ingredients to helping everything run smoothly, Mum keeps the pantry stocked, the meadow flourishing, and the daughter from spending the money on more ingredients we technically don’t need yet.

Speciality - Turning good ideas into reality and keeping daughter in check (mostly).

Dad “The Fireside Sage”

Always ready with practical advice, a helping hand, or a different way of looking at a problem. He’s especially good at quiet problem solving.

Love language - Grumbling, brooding, and chocolate.

Nova “The Head Librarian”

Keeper of stories, organiser of shelves, and enthusiastic encourager of “just one more blog post”. If you’ve wandered into the Book Nook, chances are you’ve already met. Nothing that comes out of my mouth surprises them any more.

Favourite phrase - “Curious minds welcome”.

Brumby & Mouse “Chief Taste Testers”

No botanical blend, forage mix, or new recipe escapes inspection. Together they ensure every creation meets the highest standards of nibbling.

Qualifications:

  • Professional hay enthusiasts.

  • Experts in dramatic wheeking.

  • Surprisingly thorough quality control.

Marshmallow (aka Bunbun) “Quality Assurance Manager”

Responsible for inspecting every mulberry leaf, every botanical, every fruit, every veg, and every pear or apple leaf that enters the building. Plus any treat or chaff mix that is made. Bunbun firmly believes that quality assurance requires multiple taste tests… just to be certain.

Current investigation: “Are there more treats in that cupboard?”

Cleo (aka Old Lady) “Director of Comfort”

Every workplace needs someone to remind everyone else to slow down. Cleo’s responsibilities include supervising naps, occupying sunny spots, yelling at Mum for soft food, and yelling at me to go to bed.

Weird thing - Wanting my owner to wash me while she’s in the shower.

Thank you for visiting!

Whether you’re here to learn something new, find a wholesome handmade treat, or simply spend a few quiet moments in our little library, we’re delighted you’ve stopped by.

There’s always another story waiting on the shelf.
